The MWBT Nutrition Program
Better Than Can
The condition of a dog reflects more than genetics. Nutrition, hydration, environment, exercise, veterinary care, and daily management all contribute to development and quality of life.
Our Food Philosophy
Hand-Prepared With Purpose
MWBT prepares a specialized food blend using carefully selected ingredients such as animal proteins, organs, vegetables, grains, and program-appropriate additions.
Our food is prepared in controlled batches so we can monitor ingredients, texture, portions, and how individual dogs respond. Recipes and serving amounts may be adjusted for age, activity, body condition, reproductive status, and veterinary needs.
Why Nutrition Matters
Supporting the Dog From Within
Thoughtful nutrition can support healthy growth, body condition, energy, coat quality, digestion, muscle development, and recovery. It also allows us to observe how each dog responds to different proteins and ingredients.
Puppies are transitioned gradually according to their age and development. Approved owners receive current feeding information to help them maintain consistency while safely transitioning to their chosen feeding plan.
Inside the MWBT Kitchen
What Makes Better Than Can Different
Ingredient Awareness
We know what goes into each batch and can monitor the quality and balance of the ingredients we select.
Prepared for the Individual
Portions and ingredients may be adjusted according to the dog’s age, activity, condition, and current needs.
Consistent Transition
New owners receive the puppy’s current feeding routine and transition guidance to reduce unnecessary dietary disruption.
Important Nutrition Notice
Our feeding program describes how MWBT feeds and manages its dogs. It is not veterinary or nutritional advice for every animal.
Homemade diets must be properly formulated to meet a dog’s complete nutritional requirements. Owners should consult a qualified veterinarian or veterinary nutritionist before continuing, modifying, or replacing a puppy’s diet—especially for growing puppies, pregnant or nursing females, or dogs with medical conditions.
Better Than Can Is Growing
We are documenting the nutrition program behind our dogs and developing future educational resources and feeding products. Join the MWBT list for updates as the Better Than Can program continues to grow.
